This high-energy competition draws arborists, tree care professionals, and community members from across the region. The main competition takes place Saturday, Oct 11, and community partners will be tabling that day.

Louisville Grows, in collaboration with The Urban Design Studio, Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute at the University of Louisville, and Parks Alliance presents a day of learning about the benefits of microforests and the role of trees in urban environments with Watterson Elementary School. Students will explore how these small, densely planted forests can enhance biodiversity, improve air quality, and contribute to the development of community green spaces.
Students will first stop by the Trager Microforest, then head to Alberta O. Jones Park to see our newly planted microforest there. (Note: This event is not open to the public.)
