The annual Louisville Earth Walk is going city-wide this year out of respect for everyone’s safety during the CV-19 crisis. So while we will not gather together in one place at one time on Saturday, October 24th, everyone is invited to participate – from everywhere.

Everyone is invited to join from wherever they are in support of a vision where every neighborhood has safe and clean water, air, and soil. Participants can celebrate our beautiful planet while raising both awareness and funds for the organizations in our city that work to protect and improve the quality of life for all.

This year there are two exciting registration options: The 5K Walk option invites participants to get in their walk anytime on October 24 on their own favorite paths and routes in their neighborhoods, nearby parks, treadmills or wherever. The Free Form invites participants to celebrate planet Earth on the same day however they like . . . run, dance, meditate or whatever . . . from wherever they are. Everybody is encouraged to post photos of their own personal Earth Walk experiences on social media with the hashtag #LouisvilleEarthWalk so that we can share our love for planet Earth from a safe distance. We’d love to see selfies, photos of the folks you’re walking with, the plants, flowers and creatures you encounter – all are welcomed and encouraged.

The October 24th Louisville Earth Walk will include virtual programming on our Facebook page including musical performances from Troubadours of Divine Bliss, Nick Payne, and Griffytown, as well as short presentations from the Walk’s organizing partners and a special surprise from the always entertaining Kri Martin.
