* All volunteers must be fully vaccinated.
* Wearing a mask is mandatory.
* Breakfast and lunch will not be served, but snacks will be provided.
* Registration will take place from 8:30am to 8:50am; planting groups depart at 9am.
All volunteers must present proof of full vaccination OR a negative test within 48 hours preceding the event. (We suggest taking a photo of your vaccination card with your phone to present during registration.) Masks will be required while planting trees due to the close proximity to other team members during the task. We encourage you to bring your own gloves, hand sanitizer, and filled water bottles. If you do not feel well prior to or on the day of the planting, please do not attend.
Dress appropriately for the weather. You’ll be digging in dirt and handling mulch, so wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toed shoes and long sleeve shirts are recommended. Waterproof outerwear is recommended if rain is forecasted. We will plant trees come rain or shine. If severe weather is expected, you will be notified about an alternate event date.

This planting is in partnership with Green Heart Louisville. The project is the first controlled experiment to test if increasing green space and infrastructure in a neighborhood improves air quality and human health with the goal of developing a “greenprint” for creating healthier neighborhoods.
