Who is Louisville Grows?

Louisville Grows is an environmental, 501©3 nonprofit organization established in 2009 whose mission is to Grow Greener, Healthier Neighborhoods. Our vision is to foster green, just and sustainable communities in Louisville. Our programs focus on urban forestry, urban agriculture and urban sustainability.

What is the Seeds & Starts Sale?

The Seeds & Starts Sales is Louisville Grows’ annual fundraiser with proceeds going directly to their Urban Ag program to support community garden grants awarded in April of each year. All of the plants sold are started from seed or starts that are potted by Louisville Grows’ volunteers. This decreases the cost of plants, making it more affordable for both residential and community gardeners.

Louisville Grows offers vegetables, herbs, native flowers, fruit trees, berry bushes, soil, compost and mulch. Some of the vegetables are heirloom varieties that can’t be found in stores. The varieties of fruit trees and berry bushes are specifically selected for the urban environment with some that can be container grown in smaller spaces.

Is this an In-Person Event?

Yes! We are thrilled to be hosting this Green Drinks event in person.

We request all attendees be fully vaccinated, or wear a mask for the duration of the event.

Green Drinks is a free event to attend.

If you plan to purchase and seeds or starts, Louisville Grows accepts debit cards, credit cards, and cash.
