Citizen Forester 101 Virtual Training
Louisville Grows’ Citizen Forester 101 Training is the foundation of our Urban Forestry Program!

Through the training, participants learn how to restore and maintain Louisville’s urban forest. Participants are taught basic tree anatomy and physiology, environmental stewardship, tree planting skills and how to lead other volunteers in proper planting and caring for trees.
Training is provided for individuals of all abilities, ages 12 years and older. The training cost is $10. All trainees receive a Citizen Forester t-shirt. Once you have registered, you will be emailed a link for the Google Meet and additional materials to be gone over during the class.
Participants will be encouraged to attend a tree planting for a hands-on experience and receive their t-shirt on one of the following dates:
– Sat., 10/24, 8am-12pm in Jeffersonville, IN
– Sat., 10/31, 8am-12pm in the California neighborhood.
