Citizen Forester Training: Phoenix Hill

Trees are important, so learn how to properly plant and care for them by becoming a Citizen Forester!

Our Citizen Foresters work with community members and arborists to learn how to properly plant and inspect trees, engage neighborhoods through canvassing and tree adoptions, and manage volunteer groups at planting and inspection events. Participants are taught basic tree anatomy and physiology, environmental stewardship, tree identification and selection, and how to teach others how to properly plant and care for their trees. Training for individuals of all abilities, from 12 years old on up. $25 with scholarships available. Price includes lunch, a Love Louisville Trees Citizen Forester t-shirt and CF101 Manual. Participants should also bring a water bottle and are required to wear close toed shoes and close that can get dirty.
