Meet and Greet with Curator, Jessica Whitehead
Jessica Whitehead curated the exhibit, “That Wild Life: Woodcuts of Harlan Hubbard.” On Friday, November 16, she will be at the Louisville Grows’ Healthy House Gallery, discussing and answering questions about Harlan Hubbard and his artwork.
She has also created her own beautiful, original linocut blocks which will be used for a hands-on activity for attendees to make their own prints. Whitehead will show how to properly ink the block and press it for the best resulting image for folks to take home.
During the event, we will be screening “Wonder: The Lives of Anna and Harlan Hubbard.” Refreshments will also be provided. Hubbard’s woodcuts will be available for purchase during the event.
A $5 donation is encouraged to go towards Louisville Grows and the upcoming publication of a book of Harlan Hubbard’s watercolors by the University Press of Kentucky.
