Join Louisville Grows for our spring community tree planting in the Shawnee neighborhood! No experience is necessary- everyone is welcome. Our Citizen Foresters will be there to lead you in becoming a proper tree planter!

Any person 12 years of age or younger must be accompanied at a 1:1 ratio by a parent or guardian.

Details:
* All volunteers must be fully vaccinated.
* Wearing a mask is mandatory.
* Breakfast and lunch will not be served, but snacks will be provided.
* Registration will take place from 8:30am to 8:50am; planting groups depart at 9am.

COVID protocol:
All volunteers must present proof of full vaccination OR a negative PCR test within 72 hours preceding the event. (We suggest taking a photo of your vaccination card with your phone to present during registration.) Masks will be required while planting trees due to the close proximity to other team members during the task. We encourage you to bring your own gloves, hand sanitizer, and filled water bottles. If you do not feel well prior to the planting or on the day of the planting, please do not attend.

Dress appropriately for the weather. You’ll be digging in dirt and handling mulch, so wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toed shoes are required and long sleeve shirts are recommended. Waterproof outerwear is recommended if rain is forecasted. We will plant trees come rain or shine. If severe weather is expected, you will be notified about an alternate event date.
