Louisville Grows 2018 Fundraiser – UP UP! FARM FILM FESTIVAL

Calling all friends and supporters of local farming, food security and film.

Up Up! Farm is a film collection about the future of farming, featuring young farmers from around world. Louisville Grows’ inaugural film festival will bring a series of feature length, independently produced films and shorts together in support of our agriculture community. Each film will explore questions of farmland access, rural livelihoods and the sustainability of people and place.

Louisville Grows, in partnership with Heine Bros. Coffee and Limbwalker Tree Service, will present the collection at the Holy Trinity Clifton Clifton Campus, 2117 Payne Street, at 7pm. Early Bird tickets are now available for $15.00 until August 22, 2018 at Eventbrite, tinyurl.com/LGfilmfestival. After that date, Louisville Grows’ members will still be able to purchase tickets for $15.00; non-members for $25.00 each. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

Pre-screening and intermission activities (doors open at 6pm) will feature booths by exhibiting partners. Each ticket purchased will be eligible for exciting door prizes from local businesses during intermission. Refreshments will be available for purchase including Apocalypse Brew Works, Heine Brothers’ Coffee and Ale-8-One. Proceeds will benefit Louisville Grows’ tree plantings, community garden grants and Healthy House programs.

Louisville Grows’ mission is to grow a just and sustainable community through urban agriculture, urban forestry, and environmental education. Louisville Grows supports twelve community gardens and has planted over 2,500 trees throughout Louisville neighborhoods.
